Installation

This page will explain you how to install or update this plugin correctly step by step.

Installing the plugin for the first time

The installation process for this plugin is mostly the same for v20.1 and v21.1 but there are a few differences in where to put your own files. Please do not follow the Installation process in you've installed this plugin before, the process for updating is explained here.

If you have any Custom Graphics made related to the Pokedex, make sure to back those up because this plugin comes with modified Graphics for the Pokedex Area UI. These are required in order to actually see the Region Map on the Pokedex Area Page.

Common Install process

1. Extract the Zip file using any extactor tool.

2. Inside the Arcky's Region Map folder you'll find 2 folders and 2 files.

1. The downloaded folder contains a new copy of the townmapgen which now will support bigger Region Map Images and accepts an extra parameter (More about this is explained here). Copy the townmapgen file which has the essentials version in it's name that you're using to your game's root folder and remove the original one.

1. Going back to the download folder, let's continue by installing the Plugin files.

1. Open the Plugins folder and you'll see this folder.

1. Copy the Arcky's Region Map Folder and place it inside your Game's Plugins folder.

2. If you see these 6 Folders and the Meta file, then you have installed this Plugin Correctly.

   
3. Now we need to go back to the Download Folder once more.

Follow the installation process of the Essentials Version you're using so you'll be placing the Graphics in the correct Folder of your Game.

v20.1 Installation Process

1. Open the Pokémon Essentials v20.1 folder

1. Copy the Graphics folder and paste it in your Game's Root foler, replace the files when asked.

2. In the Graphics > Pictures folder of your Game, copy your Region Map Image and place it in the RegionMap > Regions Folder (replace when asked).

1. Do the same for your Hidden Region Map Images (if you have any) and place them in the RegionMap < HiddenRegionMaps Folder.

You have now successfully installed this Plugin in Essentials v20.1.

v21.1 Installation Process

1. Open the Pokémon Essentials v21.1 folder

1. Copy the Graphics folder and paste it in your Game's Root folder, replace the files when asked.

2. In the Graphics > UI > Town Map folder of your Game, move your Region Map Images in the Regions folder (replace when asked).

1. Do the Same for your Hidden Region Map Images (if you have any) and place them in the HiddenRegionMaps folder.

1. Finally, do this once more for your Player Icons (if you have any Custom ones) and place them in the Icons folder.

You have now succesfully installed this Plugin in Essentials v21.1.
